Recommendation 4:

Catch-22; Joseph  Heller

A catch-22 boils down to: you can’t win. In the case of the main character of Catch-22, you have to be crazy to run the bombing missions assigned to you, but if you have the self-preservation to ask not to run them, you’re not crazy. This book deals with war and bureaucracy, and makes it almost funny that everyone’s out to kill you, even the people who’re on your side.

“The country was in peril; he was jeopardizing his traditional rights of freedom and independence by daring to exercise them.” – Heller

About Caitlin Stern

I have a MA in English, and have so many fantasy/urban fantasy WIPs it's not even funny. I'm an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, biography, fiction, and anything else that catches my interest. I collect books, and bookmarks I find that are visually appealing and useful.
