He looks so sad...

He looks so sad…

It’s not nice to laugh at the suffering  of others, I know.

But if you’ve ever put a cone on a cat or dog, you’ve probably seen the way they sit like their head is weighted down, and they can no longer move.

And then they just look at you.

Why, human? Why?

You will pay for this indignity one day!

I certainly hope they can’t plot against us, otherwise we’re all in trouble. Maybe that’s why some people wake up with a cat on their face, or a dog shoving them out of the bed?

Perhaps that is their subtle but fiendish way of repaying us for the indignities of cones, funny haircuts, and cute costumes. To target us in our sleep, when we are at our most vulnerable…

Or maybe we’re just on the comfy bed, and not paying attention to them.

What a sweet photo 🙂 I had to put a cone on my dog after an operation once the poor thing. She kept sweeping up dirt in it as she walked in the garden until she got used to carrying her head up higher! Fortunately, her stitches healed quickly and the cone was a thing of the past…

I’ve walked dogs who were wearing cones. Some of them carried their heads high and seemed unconcerned. A few kept trying to sniff the ground as they walked, catching the grass as they went. It looked pretty funny…
