And we’re halfway there!

I’ve learned that number-watching doesn’t help me at all. I’m still staring at my stats page, looking at the graph and seeing if I’m near my daily goal. Over time, I was slowly pulling ahead, and one day I actually made the next day’s word count. And, of course, the next day, I wrote one of my most pitiful word counts.

So it goes.

I’m starting to hit that midway doldrums I’ve heard other people talking about. Up to this point, the words were coming fairly quickly. Yesterday, I spent a fair degree of time staring at the scree, typing a few words, staring at the screen… But I’m persevering.

How’s it going for you, fellow writers? Still on goal?

I’m on goal and actually a bit ahead of the game, but it’s been hard going lately. I’m determined to finish the 50,000 words but it’s going to be a struggle. Oh well, it gives me incentive to keep going.
