I went to a Jazz event in a park–it went from the afternoon to pretty late at night. I chose the later part of the day, because after the sun has gone done is a much more tolerable part of the day for being outside.

SA Jazz (2)

Jazz in the Park

Music in a star dusted night

pours from speakers

ripples over grass

dances in the leaves of trees

framed by the soft growl of traffic

Grass dotted with lawn chairs

multi-colored cloth flowers

blooming

and folding as the crowd moves

the canvas flowers close

the band packs up

the trees dance on to different song

About Caitlin Stern

I have a MA in English, and have so many fantasy/urban fantasy WIPs it's not even funny. I'm an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, biography, fiction, and anything else that catches my interest. I collect books, and bookmarks I find that are visually appealing and useful.
