Some poems come as a whole, others come in sections. This one came from three words, and then grew a little at a time.

I write a lot of poems about sleep, I think because my dreams tend to be quite something!

Isn't it dreamy when your night goes smoothly? Image from WikiMedia, painting by Albert Anker.

Where quiet

meets still

comes sleep

Inside the quiet

still space of

sleep springs dreams

When unquiet minds rest

between pillows and stillness

sleeping comes but slowly

About Caitlin Stern

I have a MA in English, and have so many fantasy/urban fantasy WIPs it's not even funny. I'm an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, biography, fiction, and anything else that catches my interest. I collect books, and bookmarks I find that are visually appealing and useful.
