March 15: Ten Books On My Spring TBR
These are the books I’m most excited about for spring, and will likely read March 20 – June 19.
1. The Rose & The Dagger; Renee Ahdieh. The first book retelling of Scherezade kept me reading late into the night, and eager for this sequel.
2. Giant Days; John Allison. I read an excerpt of this at the end of Lumberjanes, and it made me eager to see more of these characters.
3. Ride the Storm; Karen Chance. This series is pushing my patience for how long it can take before (something) is done, but I really hope the event finally happens in this book!
4. Ex-Isle; Peter Clines. Superheroes and a zombie apocalypse–they’ve been through a lot in the previous books, but I’m sure something new will happen to them in this one!
5. Black Wolves; Kate Elliot. I’ve read some books by Elliot I liked before, so the reviews make me curious about this start to the series.
6. Warrior Witch; Danielle L Jensen. The last book left the characters in a terribly dangerous place, which I hope they get out of!
7. A Study in Sable; Mercedes Lackey. Really, I’ll read almost anything by Lackey, but I do quite enjoy this Elemental Masters series of hers.
8. A Court of Mist & Fury; Sarah Maas. Though book 1 wasn’t perfect, it was good enough to make me want to read 2.
9. The Raven King; Maggie Stiefvater. Love her writing, love her world, and am hoping, despite all her threats, for a happy ending somehow.
10. Wink Poppy Midnight; April Genevieve Tucholke. I saw this several places, and it looked interesting.
Gaah, I keep forgetting to try to get the 2nd ex-heroes book from the library! My Spring TBR
Ooh, you should get it! You’re falling behind! 😉
I’ll have you know as soon as I commented I went online to my library and requested it!
I can’t wait for The Raven King, A Court of Mist and Fury, and (most importantly) The Rose & the Dagger. So many good books coming out this spring!
Yeeesss… 🙂
The Raven King is everywhere today! I love it! I can’t wait to read it. I love the cover of Wink Poppy Midnight. Happy reading!
The cover of Wink Poppy Midnight was part of what caught my eye.
You, too! 🙂
A few on here that I really want to read, Black Wolves, Court of Mist and Fury and Warrior Witch.
Hope you enjoy.
Lynn 😀
I’m sure I will. Hope you do, too!
THE RAVEN KING. YES! Also super excited for The Rose and the Dagger. And Wink Poppy Midnight.
😀
Wink Poppy Midnight looks so good!
Right? I love that cover and title.
Great list! I’m especially looking forward to The Raven King. I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for that one, since the release date was pushed back so much from its original time.
It would feel like forever if it had only been a few months, I think. 🙂
“Ex-Isle” — until a couple days ago this wouldn’t have meant anything, but now I’m aware of a TV show with that name. Nothing to do with books, though — a relationship-porn reality series, I think.
The books are Ex-Heroes, Ex-Patriots, Ex-Communication, and Ex-Purgatory, so I bet Clines doesn’t know about the TV show. He’s clearly got a theme.
I have saved Blue Lily, Lily Blue to read back to back with The Raven King, but I may have to wait until you read it, so you can tell me if I’m going to want to jump off a bridge afterward. Those books HURT something inside of me. Gansey just breaks my heart. I want them to turn out RIGHT, dammit. Now to be fair, Stiefvater hasn’t disappointed me with an ending yet, neither to her earlier series, or to Scorpio Races, so I have high hopes she won’t break my heart this time, either. But still. I’m letting YOU read first. 😀
I’ll be your guinea pig. I’m hoping she can somehow fulfill her threat and still have a happy ending, too.
She’s in charge. She should MAKE it happen! 😀 Let me know when it’s safe for me to crack the covers. 😀
Mercedes Lackey sounds like an author I would like try. Happy reading!
Check out my TTT.
Oh, I’ve loved her for years–and she has a bunch of different series, so you can pick something to suit.
Great list! I cannot wait for The Raven King even though I’m not quite caught up yet. I have faith that Maggie Stiefvater won’t be too mean with the ending.
What an awesome TBR list. I need to work on my reading list. I’ve honestly had no time for reading lately, and it makes me sad.
That’s too bad. Hope you can carve out some time for reading soon!
