Salvage

There’s something sad
and hopeful

about salvaged

reclaimed

goods.

A box made from

the timbers of a house

An old hinge

holding shut a blank book

A necklace of smooth

sea glass

Treasures battered by storm

and time

picked up

made anew

but still clinging to

what they once were

A wall

containing family

a door

holding out the cold

a bottle

filled with celebration

the past made new

About Caitlin Stern

I have a MA in English, and have so many fantasy/urban fantasy WIPs it's not even funny. I'm an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, biography, fiction, and anything else that catches my interest. I collect books, and bookmarks I find that are visually appealing and useful.
