I had determined to keep my physical TBR pile to small enough to fit in one stack on the shelf I keep it on–my electronic TBR pile is rather a lost cause, and I’ve accepted that–and when I got several books pretty close together, a couple of times, I thought I’d have issues.

But I whittled it down again, and that gives me hope. Maybe it is possible not to be surrounded by stacks of unread books. Maybe I could even do something about the pile on my kindle! (Or maybe not…)

Start of the year, end of March, end of June.

More than half the pile is made up of books gotten since March, but it still fits! Success!

About Caitlin Stern

I have a MA in English, and have so many fantasy/urban fantasy WIPs it's not even funny. I'm an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, biography, fiction, and anything else that catches my interest. I collect books, and bookmarks I find that are visually appealing and useful.

  1. Nice job getting them into neat stacks! My bookshelf is stacks on stacks on stacks…haha. I really enjoyed On Beauty by Zadie Smith, and I hope you do too if you haven’t read it yet!

    • It took some ruthless discarding of books I was never going to read to get it there, but I persevered.
Sadly, I didn’t connect with the characters in On Beauty. But I’m glad you liked it!
