Top Ten Tuesdays are hosted by The Broke and The Bookish, and feature lists related to all things bookish–characters, authors, titles, and favorites. They’re an excellent way to find new interesting books on a variety of topics, and to find bloggers that love the books you do.

Check out their blog for their top ten and lists by other bloggers!

October 3: Top Ten Book Boyfriends/Girlfriends (Which characters do you have crushes on?)

I don’t usually crush on fictional characters, so here’s my Top Ten Best Book Boyfriends/Girlfriends. To avoid spoilers, I’m not saying why they’re good. But they’re all supportive, competent,  interested in more than just their bf/gf, willing to change the world for their love, and/or have saved their love from death.

  1. Nevada Baylor.

2. Adora Belle Dearheart.

3. Sophie Hatter.

4. Torin Kerr.

5. Kitty Norville.

6. Dag Redwing Hickory Oleana.

7. Cam Rohan.

8. Park Sheridan.

9. Sicarius.

10. Ron Weasley.

About Caitlin Stern

I have a MA in English, and have so many fantasy/urban fantasy WIPs it's not even funny. I'm an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, biography, fiction, and anything else that catches my interest. I collect books, and bookmarks I find that are visually appealing and useful.

Park and Ron are my favorites on your list. I love them!

Burn for Me and The Emperor’s Edge jumped out at me, but I’m going for Mad Rogan, instead of Nevada. And then, there’s Sicarius. Sicarius, Sicarius, Sicarius. He might be my favorite of all time. Certainly in the top 3 or 4. Yep. Sicarius. I even like saying. (And I defnitely DO get crushes on fictional characters! Oh, yeah. And I name my animals after them, too. Harry, Murphy, Potter, Maks, Kell, and Rhy, to name a few. Okay, Maks is a dancer, and not a fictional character, but close enough.) 😀

    • I thought Nevada is a little better for Rogan than he is for her–she could go it alone, if he had to, but he really needed her to get certain things done.
      He’s definitely scary sexy, though!
      Sicarius is quite something!
I’ve named pets after characters, too. I think it’s an excellent idea. 🙂

I agree totally that Nevada is probably the better/stronger/more versatile character. But I still loved Mad Rogan more. 😀 And I’ve been thinking about reading the entire Amaranth/Sicarius books again, just to spend time with Sicarius once more. He was a truly great character. 😀 (Will be emailing you at some point this week to catch you up on the mess we are dealing with, here. It’s a bit overwhelming at times, and the waiting is making me insane!)

I don’t know most of these, but Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle rocks. As does Ron Weasley: a very underrated character, I think!
    My TTT

    • I wish they’d kept Sophie’s magic in the movie, but it’s still excellent. She’s in my top 5, for sure. 🙂
Movie Ron doesn’t come across quite as well as book Ron, I think.

      • FranL says:

True, and I think when there is a film/TV version of a character people who are familiar with that before reading the book, tend to conflate the too. So a lot of people probably have a combination of movie!ron and book!ron in their heads.

Park and Ron for sure! A lot of the others I haven’t read.
