April is National Poetry Month. I’m celebrating with Writer’s Digest’s Poem a Day Challenge. Today is an interesting prompt: choose two vowels, and only use words that have one of both of them–y is free, also. I picked “e” and “a.”

Hourglass

Time has a way

indescribable, really

steadily draining sand

molten quicksilver change

stretching

contracting

one crystalline moment

unending sandpaper eternity

Time has a way

Maybe we have a way about

About Caitlin Stern

I have a MA in English, and have so many fantasy/urban fantasy WIPs it's not even funny. I'm an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, biography, fiction, and anything else that catches my interest. I collect books, and bookmarks I find that are visually appealing and useful.
